UC Davis Percussion Ensemble returns to Boonville
The UC Davis Percussion Ensemble, directed by Chris Froh, will be showcasing an immersive piece, Timber. Timber is a meditative, hour-long journey through shifting pulses. Played entirely on amplified planks, six performers move through a landscape of rising and falling waves as patterns gradually emerge. With the audience encircled around the players and their instruments, this unique, immersive experience offers the opportunity to listen deeply as a musical epic unfolds.
