Composers for Racial Equality in the Arts
We are delighted to announce the inaugural CREA Fellows, Kevin Day and Jung Yoon Wie! Both came to Boonville, CA as Cycle 8 Fellows in January of 2019 and impressed us deeply at the Academy. Their mentorship with some of the leading vibrant voices of color today will take the form of both in-person and online meetings while also fulfilling co-commissions sponsored by the Alumni Support Initiative: Kevin is writing for the award-winning Tesla String Quartet’s Alternating Currents series and Jung Yoon is writing for the Young Women Composers Camp’s Virtual Choir.
